Cheri W Cunningham grew up in Sylacauga and received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors in Biology Research. She continued her education by training at the UAB School of Dentistry. She became a Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2004 and founded her practice the same year. She remained active with her university by serving on the UAB National Alumni Society Board from 2004 thru 2007, and the Junior Alumni Board from 2011 thru 2013.
Dr. Cunningham met her husband, Jimbo, in college and after graduation, they settled in the Gardendale area. They have three beautiful children: Clayton, Caroline and Callie Brown. They are very involved in Gardendale First Baptist Church as well as their community. Avid sports fans, Dr. C and her crew can be seen participating and supporting local sports programs within the community and at many of our local schools. They also have a deep love for all things Disney and love to visit Walt Disney World where Dr. Cunningham can be found riding Big Thunder Railroad and enjoying a Mickey Ice Cream Bar!
Dr. Cunningham's mission is simply to care for patients oral health in the same way she would wish to be cared for herself and to share Christ's love by demostrating that her patient's needs always come first.
Cheri has traveled to Haiti and North Africa with members of her dental team and church in order to provide dental care to those who would otherwise have no access to care.
Callyn Tedin grew up in Dothan and received her undergraduate degree in Zoology with concentration in Pre-Dentistry from Auburn University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. In the year that followed, she spent time working as a dental assistant. She completed her training at UAB School of Dentistry and earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2013. She did a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the Foundry Dental Clinic, where she focused on placing and restoring dental implants.
Dr. Tedin met her husband, Jimmy, during dental school. They married September 2014 and settled in the Vestivia Hills area. They have two adorable pups: Brewster and Nelson. They enjoy traveling, being active and love being outdoors especially near a beach or lake - even though Dr. Tedin is terrible at water sports and not the best swimmer! They are active members of Canterbury Methodist Church. Recently, Dr. Tedin and her husband began sponsoring a child in Tanzania through Compassion International and are planning a mission trip there in the hopes of meeting him.
Dr. Tedin's mission is to listen to every patient and strive to meet their needs. She aims to never do unneccesary treatment and loves to hear feedback from her patients.
